New Sea Eagle 285fpb Inflatable Pontoon Fishing Boat
In the video below, taken at iCAST 2009, Steve Pennaz of the North American Fishing Club asked Cecil Hogue from Sea Eagle about their new 285fpb (frameless pontoon boat) inflatable pontoon fishing boat. It sounds incredible. For just $699 (the price mentioned in the video), you get a strong, sturdy and stable fishing boat which transports easily to and from wherever you want to fish because it inflates in just five minutes. The blow-up pontoons and hard floor mean you can even stand in the boat to fish which you can’t do in something like a kayak.

The 285 fpb comes in three different versions… deluxe, pro and ultimate.
The deluxe boat weighs just 42lbs and so is easy to move around when deflated and packed up. You can even get it into a car trunk because it fits into a bag roughly the size of a sports bag. Even the seat is inflatable! Currently the price is $499 with free shipping, which can’t be beat!
The pro version of the 285 is the same basic boat, but with more extras such as a swivel seat kit, motormount and floorboard. The deluxe version sells for $699, again with free shipping.
The ultimate version of the 285 frameless pontoon boat is again, the same boat, but this time with a $1,699 powerful Torqeedo electric motor in addition to everything the pro option comes with. The ultimate option costs $2,398 and a freight charge applies to this item, probably due to the insurance costs of shipping it all!
